The Turning

The Turning  begins as a calm, methodical puzzle game:  figure out how to bypass locked paths (more than one way works) and make your way to higher ground. Along the way you'll need to slip past patrolling enemy.

Then the fog rolls

Enemies you'll need to avoid or fight your way past. A stranger you meet along the way needs medallions scattered through the world, bring them enough and you'll get the key you need to keep going. But finding them means going through the dark first.

Estimated playtime: 4-6 minutes — short, focused, and meant to be felt in one sitting.

Features:

• A puzzle-first opening with more than one way to solve it
• Stealth sections — get past enemies without being seen
• A slow, deliberate shift in tone and atmosphere as you progress
• An NPC quest: collect medallions, trade them for a key
• Combat when sneaking isn't an option — a gun, and enemies who fight back.
• Built entirely solo in Unreal Engine 5

The Turning was built by one person as learning Unreal Engine 5  project from the ground up — every system, every space, and every scare in it was made from scratch. It's a small, complete experience, built with care.
